- MILLS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF WELDED
TUBES
-
- JSC EZTM manufactures a wide range of mill for the production of welded tubes. A wide range of finished tube size from 10
to 1620mm special requirement to finished tube have presupposed
the use of various methods of tube manufacture. Classifying these
method by specific characteristic, electric welded tube plants can
be subdivided in two large groups:
-
- Plants
for large diameter tube( 530-
1620mm)
- Plants
for small and medium diameter tube( 10-530mm)
Each
of this group has its own feature for development of the technological
schemes for tube production.
-
- PLANTS FOR LARGE
DIAMETER TUBE PRODUCTION
-
- Production process in plants of this type may be both discrete
(single or double seam tube are made of separate
sheets) and continuous ( spiral seam tube are made of coiled
steel)
- Sheets may be formed to round billets for longitudinal seam tube
in both presses and rolls.
- By press forming both semi cylinders and round billets for welding
may be obtained. Forming here is effected in three stages: edges,
preparation, preliminary and final.
- Roll forming is used for obtaining semi cylinder. Double seam tube
production from semi cylinder allows to use relatively narrow sheets
as starting material for large diameter tubes. To produce large
diameter tube submerged arc shielded welding is used. The welding is
done in several passes by two or three electrodes putting in process
seam, then external and internal working seams.

- CONTINUOUS PLANTS FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM
DIAMETER TUBE PRODUCTION.
-
- Production process in these plants in continuous from coiled steel
by means of roll forming . When roll forming several process
limitations for instance value of stesses in sheets edges when the
sheet is bent crosswise , diameter to wall ratio have impact on
selection of stand number, roll pass design, installation of roller
guide between the roll stands. Thus for instance in 100-220
Electric-welded tube plant for tube with diameter to wall ratio of
100, a part of forming section is occupied by ROLLER TABLE- a number
of stands having assemblies of idle roller which increases a
longitudinal stability of edges, due to an increase of splitting
sheets deformation along its length. Similar solution have
been adopted by a number of foreign companies as well.
-
- The plants of this group use the following welding methods:
- -
High frequency with induction supply for the production of
10-530mm diameter tubes of carbon steel, aluminum ,copper.
- -
Gas shielded arc welding by non melted electrodes for the
production of high alloy steel, titanium, zirconium, copper, copper
base alloy tube. Welding is by tungsten electrode, argon-shielded
- -
Plasma welding- for the production of stainless steel tube,
welded is by 3 cathod plasmotron, gas shielded.
