DERMALAG
Laser System For Cosmetic Application

Epilaser

DERMALAG is a Q-switched, frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser. DERMALAG supports all the basic cosmetic applications including tattoo removal, pigmented lesion removal and vascular lesion treatment. The 1064 nm (infrared) wavelength of DERMALAG is used in the removal of dark-ink tattoo. Since there is comparatively low absorption by melanin at the longer wavelength, a significantly lower risk of hypopigmentation exists at 1064 nm in comparison to other lasers in the 600-800-nm range. Additionally, the short pulse width (20 ns) reduces the risk of scarring by limiting the tissue exposure to heat build-up.
The 1064 nm (infrared) wavelength with energy fluences of 40-12 J/cm2 is extremely successful in the treatment of dermal melanocytosis such as nevus of Ota and aberrant Mongolian spots.
The 532 nm (green) wavelength is ideally suited for the removal of red tattoo ink. Significant red ink removal may be achieved with one treatment at 532 nm at fluences of 5 J/cm2.
The 532 nm (green) wavelength with fluences of 2-5 J/cm 2 has a significant application in the removal of vascular lesions and epidermal pigmented lesions.
