Surge Arresters
|
PLASMA manufactures this series of miniature metal-ceramic surge
arresters with 2, 3 and 4 electrodes, primary intended for over
voltage protection of engineering and telecommunication
installations, including telephone stations, facsimile, modems,
PCs and other sensitive electronics in individual machines,
airborne equipment.
Technical
parameters of given arresters meet all the requirements and
recommendations of CCITT.
|
The
response characteristics do not depend on radioactive doping. The
electrical characterstics of the arrester, such as spark-over voltage,
impulse and a.d. current handling capability can be optimized to the
particular requirements of various telecom systems.
We
present our three main types of the R-series button surge arresters:
 | Two-electrode arresters with
breakdown voltages in the range 70 V to 1500 V, PBV of 0.65 to 2.0
kV in four different operation modes, providing peak current 0.1,
1.0, 10 and 0.014 kA respectively. |
 | Three-electrode arresters with
breakdown voltages in the range 80 V to 600 V , PBV of 0.8 kV, in
four operation modes with peak current 0.3, 1.0, 10 and 0.014 kA. |
 | Multi-section (four electrode)
arresters with breakdown voltages in the range 1 to 13 kV, operating
in three different modes. |
This
series of PLASMA spark gaps is intended for surge protection of
electronic components, operating at high voltages. Complete restoration
of their properties after the breakdown occurs at the decrease of
voltage on them down to the extinction voltage and at the limitation of
the current to the value specified in the table. The spark gaps will
break down within 20% of the specified voltage.
