Switching Spark Gaps

Gas-filled switching spark gaps with arc discharge feature outstanding high switching rates.

The construction of a spark spark gap is similar to that of a surge arresters with 2-electrodes and optimised for switching applications in fast, low-loss and voltage-controlled discharge of capacitively stored energy.
